Speaking about his appointment, Jonathan said:

"I am honoured to have been appointed as Acting Service Police Complaints Commissioner. This position plays a critical role in strengthening trust and confidence in Service Policing.

It is essential that individuals feel empowered to speak up when behaviours fall short of the high standards rightly expected of the Service Police. I am committed to ensuring that the Ministry of Defence fosters an open and supportive environment where people have the confidence to raise concerns.

At the same time, I look forward to championing best practices within Service Policing and highlighting the vital and positive contributions of Service Police officers in safeguarding our people and infrastructure both in the UK and overseas."
